Aug 16, 1984; Mrs. Kathryn Brewer of 1421-10th NE, died Wednesday, Aug 8, 15 McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Tuesday, August 14 at the Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Rev. C.B. Wallace officiating. Burial was in Fairland Cemetery by Maxey Funeral Home. Mrs. Brewer was born June 29, 1940 in Lamar County, a daughter of Cliff Mitchell and Effie Thomas Mitchell. She attended Lamar county School, Paris Beauty School and Vocational Nursing School. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. Surviving are five sons, Byron Mitchell and Ricky Mitchell, both of Paris, Tierney Mitchell and Darrell Mitchell, both servicn in the U.S. Navy and Thomas Wilson of Terre Haute, IN; her father, Cliff Mitchell of Paris; four brothers, George Mitchell of Midland, Johnny Mitchell of Greenville, Virgie Mitchell of Paris and Larry Mitchell of Dallas; four grandchildren; six aunts; two uncles and a nurmber of nieces and nephews.
