LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, December 14, 1989, p. 4: 'Lois Breedlove, 78, 601-3rd NE, died Sunday, Dec. 10, at his home. Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. in the Free Hope Baptist Church in Bogata with the Rev. George Rape officiating. Maxey Funeral Home made burial in Turner Cemetery in Fulbright. Mr. Breedlove was born April 1, 1911, in Lamar County, a son of Jim and Lucille Scales Breedlove. He attended Lamar County schools. Surviving are his wife; three sons, James Edward Breedlove, Jimmy D. Breedlove, both of Fort Worth, and Charles Breedlove of Denton; a stepson, Gary Miles of Fort Worth; two daughters, Nannie Giles of Paris and Patricia Ann Breedlove of Denton; two brothers, Howell Breedlove of Fort Worth and the Rev. E. C. Breedlove of Fort Worth; and a half-brother, Troy Scales of Paris.'
