Funeral Records in possession of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home; Book #5; p.232; Service #56; Mrs. Josie Bray; Charge to Estate; Died May 1 at 12:15 pm. on East Clarksville St.; Funeral services at residence at 330pm on 2 May 1907; Clergyman, Neilson; Widow; interment at Evergreen Cemetery, Lot 28, Section No. 11. Cost, $165.00. Tombstone is inscribed, 'Wife of E.J. Bray.' Buried next to Ed J. Bray. From an undated and unnamed newspaper clipping in possession of Ron Brothers on file with Eubank material; 'Mrs. Bray Dead- Mrs. Josie Bray, widow of the late Ed. J. Bray, died at 12:15 o'clock this morning at her home, 1 1/2 miles east of Paris, on the Clarksville road, after an illness of several weeks. The funeral service will be held at the residence at 3 o'clock this afternoon by Rev. W.P. Neilson, and the burial will be at Evergreen. Mrs. Bray was about forty years old and leaves a daughter and four sons, to whom, on behalf of their many friends, the News extends sympathy.'
