LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Apr. 26, 1984. 'Mrs. Helen Gullick Bray, wife of Barney Bray Jr., 963-23rd SE, died in St. Joseph's Hospital. Services were held April 24 at Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with Dr. Jimmy Newman minister of College Street Church of Christ. Born in Paris, a daughter of William Helen Gullick & Kathryne Green Gullick. She attended Paris schools & married Barney Bray on Aug. 4, 1939. She was a member of the College Street Church of Christ. Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald 'Ida' Deats of Dallas; 2 sons, Barney Bray III of Paris & Archie Bray of Paris; 4 grandchildren & a sister, Mrs. Sarah Anderson of Hughes Springs; 2 brothers, Carl H. Gullick of Houston & Robert Lewis Gullick of Waxahachie.'
