LAMAR COUNTY ECHO Mar. 7, 1985. 'Willie Braxton, 415 Evergreen, died Saturday, Feb. 23, at McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Saturday, March 2, at Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.D. Hilburn officiating. Burial was in Littlejohn Cemetery. Mr. Braxton was born Dec. 14, 1904, in Red River County, a son of Walker and Sylvania Robinson Braxton. He attended Red River County schools. He was a retired janitor in the Paris Independent School District. He was a Baptist. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Braxton of Oklahoma City and Willie Braxton Jr. of Paris; a daughter, Sylvania Simon of Los Angeles; a brother, Albert Braxton of Detroit; and an uncle Freeman Robinson of Paris'.
