THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, 15 Oct 1981- Madeleine Brashier, infant daughter of Rodney and Mary Lou Ashmore Brashier of 554 W. Shiloh, died at birth Wednesday at 4:45 a.m. in a Sulphur Springs hospital. Graveside services will be conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Kerr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Bonham, will officiate. Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, Nolan and Mary Ashmore of Bonham; paternal grandparents, Pat and Warren Brashier of Reno; great-grandparents, Mrs. Mary Ashmore of Paris and Earl and Myrtle Brashier of Ravia, Okla.”

THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 22 Oct 1981: “Madeleine Brashier, infant daughter of Rodney and Mary Lou Ashmore Brashier of 554 W. Shiloh, died at birth Wednesday, 14 Oct 1981 in a Sulphur Springs hospital. Graveside services were held Friday, 16 Oct at Evergreen Cemetery, under the direction of Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Kerr, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Bonham, officiated. Survivors include her parents; maternal grandparents, Nolan and Mary Ashmore of Bonham; paternal grandparents, Pat and Warren Brashier of Reno; great grandparents, Mrs. Mary Ashmore of Paris and Earl and Myrtle Brashier of Ravia, Okla.”

Tombstone is inscribed, “Daughter of Lou and Rodney Brashier.” Sexton records of Evergreen have no indication of this burial.
