Feb 18, 1976; Tom W. Branum, 99, of Roxton, died at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was a retired farmer Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Hackler officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Branum was born March 3, 1886 in Marietta GA, a son of Marion D. and Olive (Rodgers) Branum. He moved to Texas with his family in 1889 and he had lived in Lamar County since then. He married the former Miss Hula Casey of Roxton on Dec 20, 1908. Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. H.L. Rogers of Paris; one son, M.G. Branum of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Frank David, Mrs. Grady Fisher and Miss Irene Branum, all of Paris and Mrs. A.J. Rose of Roxton; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will be at the Rogers' home, 150 - 30th NW, Paris.
