Notes

Information from Debbie Burks, 3935 Sage Trail, Paris, TX 75460: Born in Grayson County, TX, the daughter of Samuel Wade and Florence Stephenson Brannin. Around 1906, about the time her older sisters started to school, the teacher said their name was spelled wrong. Thereafter the family spelled their name 'Brannon' instead of 'Brannin.' Anna died in 1942 in Austin, TX and was buried in the Tigertown Cemetery. On the same stone with her father, Samuel W. Brannon.
