| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, Nov. 29, 1992, p. 4A. "Ruth Vivan Bowen, 80, of Garland, died Fri., Nov. 27, in Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Services at 2 p.m. Sun., Nov. 29, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Thurmon. Born in Paris, the daughter of William Oscar and Josie M. Ingram Bowen, she attended public schools in Paris. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris. Surviving are 2 sisters, Mrs. Jo Slaton of Clarksville and Mrs. Louise Whitlock of Garland; a brother, W.J. Bowen of Tyler; and several nieces and nephews and a great-great niece and nephew." |
