THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, December 18, 1960, p. 8: “MRS. R.E. BOST. Mrs R. E. Bost, 78, died at home, 1047 E. Washington St., Friday at 9:45 p.m., after becoming ill there earlier in the evening. The funeral will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Gene Roden & Sons chapel by Dr. Ronald Pince of the First Baptist Church where Mrs. Bost was a member. Interment will be made in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The former Miss Cora Anna Jones, daughter of John Wilson Jones and his wife who was Nancy Jane Silvey. Mrs. Bost was born in Pleasant Grove community, Oct. 24, 1882. Besides her husband, Mrs. Bost leaves three children: Harry Bost, Omaha, Tex.; Mrs. Morris Johnson, Paris, and Mrs. Kathryn Webb, Port Arthus, and 11 other descendants.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, December 20, 1960, p. 2: “BOST SERVICES. Service for Mrs. R. E. Bost, 78, of 1047 E. Washington St., were held at Gene Roden & Sones chapel Monday afternoon, interment being made in Meadowbrook Gardens. Bearers were Jesse Justiss, Thomas Tudor, A. L. Gunn, John R. Biard, and Leonard Short. Mrs. Bost, the former Miss Cora Anna Jones, died at home Friday after brief illness. In addition to survivors previously listed is a sister, Mrs. Bessie Cross of New Orleans, La.”
