Jan. 19, 1979; Lonnie L. Booth, 77, of Chicota, died at Leisure Lodge Nursing Home on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1979. Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 18, 1979 at Forest Chapel United Methodist Church in Chicota, conducted by Rev. Frankie Dawes, the Rev. D. Presley Hutchens, and the Rev. Ray Dressler. Burial was in Forest Chapel Cemetery by Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Mr. Booth was born April 5, 1901 in Texas, son of E.J. and Dona Watson Booth. He was a farmer. Survivors include one brother, Welton Booth of Chicota; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Farmer and Mrs. Rosie Arney both of Chicota, and Mrs. Beatrice Overstreet of Ashdown, AR; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were John Overstreet, H.L. Arney, Buck Arney, Ray Farmer, R.N. Booth and Odell Farmer. Buried near Lorna N. Perkins.
