THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 31, 1972: Douglas Boles, 69, a rancher living on Rt. 1, Paris, died Thursday at 10:30 p.m. in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Caviness community July 11, 1903, son of John and Lula (Bryant) Boles, his wife being the former Erma Pinegar. Friends will be received at Leverett & Steele Funeral Home here , Friday between 7:30 and 9 p.m., relatives being at the home of a sister-in-law Mrs. C. D. Farris, 417-12th NW. The funeral Saturday at 2 p.m. will be conducted at Caviness in Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church, where Mr. Boles was a member, with burial in cemetery there. Mr. Boles and his wife were married Jan. 11, 1928, in Paris, and she survives, besides a brother, General Boles of Garland, and two sisters, Mrs. Hope Bryant, Irving and Mrs. Jennie Oliver, Oklahoma City, Okla.
