| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, February 2, 1984: "James Boaz, 2895, Lewis Lane, died Monday, Feb. 6, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Cecil Allen officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Boaz was born July 24, 1898, in Maxey, a son of George W. Boaz and Sally Garner Boaz. He married Geraldine Hopper on Jan. 9, 1932, in Paris. She died Nov. 2, 1981. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. J. M. Braswell of Paris and several nieces and nephews." On the same stone with Geraldine Boaz. His first wife was Johnnie Lee Pollard. |
