LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, July 14, 1983, p. 3. 'Graveside services were conducted Sunday, July 3, at 5:30 p.m. at Oak Lawn cemetery in Cooper for Harold K. Blissett, 2315 Ridgeview, Paris. The Rev. Van George officiated. McClanahan and sons Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Blissett died Saturday, July 2, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born May 15, 1911, in Deport, a son of J. M. and M. L. McGee Blissett. He was a member of the Seventh Street Baptist Church. In 1936, he married Marie Ellis in Paris. Survivors are his wife; a son, Merlin Blissett of Austin; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Carrol Blissett Mabee of Vienna, Va. and Mrs. Sandra Kay Blissett Chang of Honolulu, Hawaii. Bearers were Woodrow Ellis, Sandra J. Chang, Nelson Ellis, Gordon Chang, Marlin Blissett, Donald Ellis and Nancy Mabee.' Tombstone is inscribed, '1911-1983, Pvt. US Army WW II.' Buried between Clandye E. Landers and Robbie Keeling Buster.
