THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, February 15, 1959: "Funeral of Mrs. Erman Bledsoe, 44, of Direct community, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Assembly of God church east of Belk, by the pastor, the Rev. Hershel Stevens. Gene Roden & Sons will make burial in West Post Oak Cemetery, pallbearers to be Leslie Hicks, Amer Hicks, Roice Hicks, Loice Hicks, J. M. Farmer and R. A. Meshere. Mrs. Bledsoe, who died Thursday, leaves her husband and these children; Stanley Ray Bledsoe and Leon Bledsoe, Dallas; Mrs. Mary Ann Ray, Ronnie Dale, Charles, Paul David, J. C., Terry Wayne and Berry Dayne, John Henry, Kenneth E., Marvin H., Betty Jean, Dorothy and Maude Bledsoe, all of Direct; four grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters; W. D. McFatridge, Powderly; Bennie McFatridge, Mrs. Sellastein Woods and Mrs. Imogene Davis, Garretts Bluff; George McFatridge, Honey Grove; Jimmy McFatridge, Dallas; Mrs. Frances Melton, Oklahoma City, Okla; Mrs. Ella Mae Lassiter, Paris; Mrs. Imodene Olsby, DeQueen, Ark., and Mrs. Ruby Ambers, whose address was not listed."
