LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Thu., Dec. 27, 1984: 'W. E. (Ed) Blassingame, Rt. 2, Paris, died Sudnay, Dec. 23, at McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Monday, Dec. 24, in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Scott officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Blassiname was born Jan. 27, 1910, in Lamar County, a son of John F. and Josie Dawson Blassiname. He was married to Ora Livingston on April 30, 1932 in Hugo, OK. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Paris Masonic Lodge since 1945. Surviving are his wife; two sons, John W. Blassingame of Ennis, Rick Blassingame of Katy; one daughter, Mrs. Randall (Anne) Pinckard, Rt. 2, Paris; eight grandchildren, Terry Bryson, Eddie Pinckard, Toni Phillips, John Jr. and David Blassiname, Shawn and Kyle Hubbard and Ryan LeAnne Blassingame; three great grandchildren; one brother, Fred L. Blassingame of Paris and one sister, Mrs. Arnold Clevenger of Shallowater'.
