THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 14 Jan 1988. 'Una Mae (Lanky) Blankenship, formerly of 831 W. Austin St., died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, 6 Jan 1988, at Cherry Street Manor. Services were held Friday, 8 Jan, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Semple officiating. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Blankenship was born 23 Jan 1898, in the Harmon community of Lamar County, a daughter of Will Lankford and Laura Lynn Lankford. She attended Petty schools and attended the Sanitarium of Paris Nursing School where she was a 1930 graduate. She worked at the Sanitarium of Paris for 46 years until retiring in 1976. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Kendall Sunday School Class. Surviving are four sisters, Mrs. Arlie (Melba Marie) Endsley of Paris, Erma Lankford of Paris, Mrs. M.D. (Bill Susie) Emerson of Paris and Mrs. Harvey (Bernice) Nunnelly of Honey Grove; two brothers, Urban Lankford of Texline and Aubrey Lankford of Rt. 1, Honey Grove; and several nieces and nephews.' Buried between Cora E. Raborn and Erma Lankford.
