LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, March 22, 1984, p. 6. 'George Clint Blake, 2111 Graham, died Tuesday, March 13, at 6:45 p.m., at McCuistion Medical Center. Services were held Thursday, March 15, at Hopewell Cemetery. The Rev. Eddie Johnson officiated. Gene Roden's sons funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Mr. Blake was born July 10, 1896, in Texas, a son of George Washington Blake and Bell Kitchens Blake. He was retired from the civil service. He was a member of the Church of God. He married Pearl McClellen in 1921. Surviving are his wife; one son, Roy Blake of Paris; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.' In 1994 this was an unmarked grave.
