THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Sep. 3, 1995, p.16A. 'Mallie Elizabeth Bybee Blackburn, 87, of Houston died Friday, Sep. 1, 1995, at her residence. Mrs. Blackburn was born Sep. 16, 1907, in Lamar County, a daughter of Lewis L. and Eula Miller Bybee. She was a longtime member of Calvary United Methodist Church. She married Lewis L. Blackburn Aug. 30, 1928. He preceded her in death Oct. 30, 1968. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sep. 5, in the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Gardens with grandsons serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Sue Johnson of Houston; a son, Reginald Blackburn of Bedford; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lee Blackburn.'

Burial location has not been confirmed. Assumed to be next to her husband.
