| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 1 Jun 1989: "Settie N. Black, 77, 1415 10th NW, died Sunday, 21 May 1989, at her home. Services were held Saturday, 27 May, in the Maxey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Massey officiating. Burial was in Littlejohn Cemetery. Mrs. Black was born in Lamar County on 14 Aug 1911, a daughter of Alex and Lucinda Holloway Blackwell. Surviving are two brothers, Robert Blackwell of Paris and Horace Blackwell of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Clara Washington of Paris and Lousie Anthony of Los Angeles; and 18 nieces and nephews." In 1993 this was an unmarked grave. |
