From the record journal of Meadowbrook Cemetery; daughter of James and Martha Black. Born in Blossom, died in Paris, TX. THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 23 Mar 1990. 'Nell Black, 87, Cherry Street Annex died at St. Joseph's Hospital Friday morning, 23 Mar 1990. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, 24 Mar, at Meadowbrook Cemetery with Gene Roden's Sons in charge of arrangements. Miss Black was born 29 Sep 1902, in Blossom, a daughter of James Madison and Martha Elizabeth Brown Black. She was vice president of San Antonio Savings Association for 31 years before retiring. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Lorayne Black of Roxton; two nieces, Pat Mahan of Tigertown and Alice Brabant of San Francisco, Calif., four nephews, James Black of Duncanville, John Black of Toccoa, Ga., Jerry Black of Paris and Mike Black of Brookston, and three cousins, F.J. Kuykendall of Dallas, Mrs. Hubert Kennemer of Paris and Karl Brown of Paris.'
