THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, June 24, 1942, p. 2: "CUNNINGHAM (Special) -- Death of Mrs. Lida Black, 72, occurred Tuesday afternoon at her home here. Funeral service was arranged for 4 p.m. Wednesday at Woodard Cemetery."
THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, June 25, 1942, p. 2: "BLACK FUNERAL. CUNNINGHAM (Special) -- Funeral service for Mrs. Lida Black, 73, wife of Will Black was held Wednesday afternoon at Woodard Cemetery. She died Tuesday afternoon at her home here. Surviving are her husband and these children: Arthur Black, Loyalton, Calif.; Mrs. Lillie Butts and Mrs. Ruby Bell, living somewhere in Oklahoma; Mrs. Iva Rhoades and Mrs. Eva Stockton, Johntown; Jake Black, Sulphur Bluff; Warren Black, Glendale; Mrs. Birdie Harris and Mrs Frank Archibald, Paris; Mrs. Bess Barton and Dick Black here; 46 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren."
