THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, February 16, 1979, p. 2: "Gregory Dale Black of 5305 Flamingo, Rowlett, died Thursday in Dallas. Arrangements are pending with Steele and Thomas Funeral Home. The family will be at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hodges, 138-21st NE."
THE PARIS NEWS, Saturday, February 17, 1979, p.4: "Funeral Services for Gregory Dale Black of 5305 Flamingo, Rowlett were to be held t 11 a.m. Saturday at the Steele and Thomas Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. He was born Oct. 21, 1961, in Cordell, Okla. son of Bobby Black and Delores (Hodges) Black. He was a student and a Baptist. Survivors include his parents; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hodges of Paris and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Black of Deport and two sisters, Miss Barby Donna Black and Miss Laura Ann Black, both of Rowlett. of flowers, the family requests donations be made to any drug abuse program. He died Thursday in Dallas. Bearers were Charles Black, Grant Black, Deal Black, J. G. Hodges, Ricky Hodges and Ray White. Mr. Black died Thursday in Rowlett."
