THE PARIS NEWS, December 31, 1954, p. 2: “Mrs. H. A. Black Mrs. Flora C. Black, widow of H. A. Black, 1623 W. Kaufman St., died about 7:15 p.m. Thursday on arrival at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a sudden attack of illness at home. The funeral will be held at Gene Roden & Sons chapel and burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery services being set Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Survivors include these children: Roy Black, Audley Black, Burk Black, Huey Black and Miss Eddie Black, all of Paris, and Norman Black, Weatherford; 10 grand children and one great-grandchild.”
