THE DAILY DINNER HORN, (Paris, Texas) 20 Jan 1920: "Fatally Ill While Visiting At Ambia- Mrs. A. A. Bivins, the wife of a farmer from near Houston, died Sunday morning at St. Joseph’s Infirmary from pneumonia. The body was turned over to Emberson and Brown and was forwarded in the afternoon to Clarksville, where the funeral was held yesterday. Her husband had recently bought a farm near Detroit, and while they were on their way to make their home she stopped at Ambia to visit her daughter, Mrs. W. A. Brown, whose husband is principal of the school there. Shortly after reaching Ambia she was taken sick and brought to the infirmary. She was born and reared in Red River County near Clarksville and was sixty-two years old. She is survived by her husband and ten children as follows, Mrs. H. J. Buchanan of Blossom, Mrs. David Patton of Clarksville, Mrs. Dan Stiles of Haworth, Ok., Mrs. Lee Jackson and Mrs. Jud Maldin of Clarksville, Mrs. W. A.Brown of Ambia, James Atha and Willie Bivins and Miss Viola Bivins. Besides her own family, she leaves several brothers and sisters."
