THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, June 2, 1970, p. 2: “Mrs. E. E. Bills. Mrs. E. E. Bills, 85, of 1803 Graham died Monday at 7 p.m. in the Pleasant Grove Nursing Home. Funeral services are set for 11 am. Wednesday at the Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home chapel with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Hubert Roach of the Bonham Street Church of Christ, where Mrs. Bills was a member, will officiate. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7:30 to 9. Born Aug. 11, 1884 in Mena, Ark., the former Miss Emma Belle Duvall. She came to Texas in 1886, and married E. E. Bills in October, 1908. He died Feb. 5, 1948. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs George Pledger, Paris; four sons, Joe W. Bills, Marshall; Warren E. Bills and Woodrow W. Bills, Paris and Robert W. Bills, Center Point, Tex.; a sister, Miss Elizabeth Duvall, Paris; a brother, George Stanley Duvall, Denver City, Tex.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bills had been in failing health for the past two years.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Thursday, Thursday, June 4, 1970, p. 15: “Bills Funeral. Hubert Roach of the Bonham Street Church of Christ officiated for funeral services for Mrs. E. E. Bills, 1803 Graham, who died Monday. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home was in charge of services held at their chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Bearers were Geron Crumley, Roland Cagle, Alvin Yates, Marcus Warlick, Richard Lee and Bill Coplin.”
