THE PARIS NEWS, 17 May 1963: 'Last rites for Mrs. George Bills, nearly 90, who died Friday, were held Saturday at 4 p.m. in Fry and Gibbs chapel by Elmer L'Roy and Hubert Roach, and burial made in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Bills, who, with a daughter and a son, Miss Ruie Bills and Jack Bills, lived at 139 11th NE, died there about 3 p.m., after long illness. The former Aulena Henderson, daughter of R. A. and Leona (Austin) Henderson, she was born at Bonham, 2 Aug 1873. She was married there to Mr. Bills in 1889, and they later moved to Paris, his death occurring in 1944. He was a longtime member of Lamar Avenue Church of Christ here. She leaves these children: Miss Ruie Bills, Mrs. Jimmy Biard and Jack Bills, all of Paris; Mrs. Sue Ormsby and Ray Bills, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Hubert Brotherton, Commerce, and Billy Bills, Waxahachie, and eight other descendants. Here for the funeral were Dr. and Mrs. Bob Biard and children, Jimmy and Jan, of Richardson; Mr. and Mrs. Michael Bills and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Miller, Irving; Mrs. W.C. McDowell and Henderson McDowell, Commerce.' On the same stone with George F. Bills. Tombstone is inscribed, 'Aulena H. Bills.'
