THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, Oct. 3, 1976, p. 11: “DALLAS -- Funeral services for Paris native Geron Wright Billingsley, of 11032 Glen Echo Court, Dallas, will be held at the St. Matthew’s Episcopal Cathederal in Dallas. Mr. Billingsley died Friday night at his Dallas home. Services will be conducted by Dean Preston Wiles and Father Russell. Graveside services will follow at Paris’ Evergreen Cemetery at 5 p.m. with Father Thomas Pantle, of Paris officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Mr. Billingsley was born May 2, 1960 in Paris, a son of Ben L. Billingsley and Mary Helen (Wright) Billingsley. He was a junior at Lake Highlands High School and had been active in the Episcopal Church in Dallas, having served as alter boy and acolyte. The family moved to Dallas in 1962. Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Billingsley of Dallas; a sister, Karen Denise Billingsley of Dallas; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lloyd Billingsley of Paris and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Wright, also of Paris. The body will lie in state at Fry and Gibbs Funeral home until Monday morning.”

THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, Oct. 6. 1976, p. 2: “BILLINGSLEY FUNERAL. Graveside services for Geron Wright Billingsley of Dallas were held at 5 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home. Father Thomas A. Pantle of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church officiated. Pallbearers were Burl Winham, Randy Sheflet, Cary Sieffert, Brad Averitt, Mark Pace and Jay Heth. Mr. Billingsley died Saturday in Dallas.”
