Married Mattie ?? From an old scrapbook of newspaper clippings and obituaries donated by Zoe Hazelwood of Paris, TX; BILLINGS SERVICE. Last rites for J. F. Billings who died Tuesday at his home on Pine Mill Road, were announced for 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Lamar Avenue Church of Christ, conducted by the minister, Oscar Smith, with interment at Evergreen cemetery. Brown-Roden Funeral Home had charge of arrangements and Tom Roach, L. Z. Jack, D. F. Kerbow, Hoyle Conder, Clifton O'Dea and Jack Reed were designated pallbearers. Mr. Billings, 76 year old farmer, leaves besides his wife, three brothers, W. H. Billings, Shawnee, Okla.; J. B. Billings, Nashville, Ark., and Rufe Billings, West Texas, and a sister, Mrs. Sallie Hale of Shawnee, Okla.' [The date on the newspaper is 11/8/1939, instead of Dec.]
