THE PARIS NEWS-Oct. 26,1973: Funeral services for Roy W. Biggers of Blossom will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Don Hollowell, pastor of the Nazarene Church at Blossom will officiate and interment will be in Red Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Biggers residence in Blossom. Mr. Biggers died Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born Oct. 5,1897, in Waxahachie, a son of E.L. and Ada Thompson Biggers. He attended schools in Belton, Temple and Waxahachie and business college in Texarkana. He married the former Miss Addie Mae Carson on Sept. 17,1923 in Hot Springs, Ark. The couple lived in Arizona, New Mexico and Grand Prairie until four and one-half years ago when they moved to Blossom. Mr. Biggers was a retired building contractor and a former member of the carpenter's union. He was a member of the Nazarene Church. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald J. Rafferty of Grand Prairie and three grandchildren, Sherry Rafferty, Mark Rafferty and Mrs. Tommie Sue Kerr, all of Grand Prairie, and one great-grandchild.
