THE PARIS NEWS, July 16, 1980: "Clara Lee Biggers - E. Cherry was found dead apparently of natural causes Tuesday afternoon at her home. Funeral services are pending with Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funerals."
THE PARIS NEWS, July 17, 1980: "Funeral services for Clara Lee Biggers of 1924 E. Cherry will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Gene Roden's Sons, Directors of Funeral. Internment will follow in Meadowbrook Gardens. Mrs. Biggers was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon at her home. The family will receive friends for 7 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home. Mrs. Biggers was born March 20, 1892 in Sylvan community of Lamar County, a daughter of Robert Thompson and Martha Frances Moye Gibson. Her husband , Marcus Gilmer Biggers, preceded her in death on April 19, 1955. She was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. R. H. Lasater of El Paso, Mrs. Charles Thomas of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Joe Pickle of Garland; two sons, Chester Biggers of Oklahoma City and Paul G. Biggers of Grand Prairie; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Blackburn of Paris and Mrs. Joe Stephenson of Gainesville; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three children, Marcus Biggers, Robert Biggers and Pauline Biggers."
THE PARIS NEWS, July 18, 1980: "Funeral services for Clara Lee Biggers of 1924 E. Cherry were held at 10:30 a.m. this morning in the chapel of Gene Roden's Sons, Director of Funerals. The Rev. James Elsom officiated. Burial followed in Meadowbrook Gardens. Pallbearers included Ralph Lewis, John Hewitt, Sam Varnado, Fred Nance, Jr., Henry F. Teague and Douglas Lowe. Mrs. Biggers died Tuesday at her residence."
From the record journal of Meadowbrook Cemetery; daughter of Robert & Martha Frances Gibson Thompson. Born in Sylvan community of Lamar County, died in Paris, TX.
