THE PARIS NEWS, Tue., Aug. 9, 1994, p.6A. 'James Harold Bickems Sr., 61, 951 Hickory St., died Saturday, Aug. 6, 1994, at Paris Health Care Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Greater Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. C.B. Wallace officiating. Beasley Funeral Home of Denison will make burial in Littlejohn Cemetery. The body will lie at the church from noon until service time. Mr. Bickems was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Dallas, a son of J.D. and Mary Lou Bickems. He married Mamie McCarty March 16, 1971. He was employed by American Box Factory and was a Baptist. Surviving are his wife; three sons, James E. Bickems and Michael E. Bickems of Dallas and James B. Bickems of Virginia Beach, VA; a stepson, Ira Franklin of Paris; two daughters, Cynthia Young and Nereca Jones, both of Dallas; a stepdaughter, Alzie McCarty of Paris; two brothers, John W. Bickems and Larry D. Bickems, both of Dallas; four sisters, Mary Carroway, Annie J. Moore, Mattie S. Anderson and Margie Green, all of Dallas; and two grandchildren.'
