| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 7 May 1981. 'Mrs. Fern C. Bickel, 74, of Rt.3, Paris, died 2 May 1981 in a local hospital. A family service was held at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel Sunday evening, 3 May with the Rev. Vasek officiating. The body was then transferred to Balta, Ohio for an afternoon service Wednesday, 6 May in the Lingler Funeral Home. That service was conducted by the Rev. David Hammil of the St. John's Lutheran Church. Burial was in Halifax Cemetery in Balta. Mrs. Bickel was born in Coshocton, Ohio on 16 Mar 1907, daughter of D.F. Levengood and Caroline Deich Levengood. She married Simon O. Bickel who preceded her in death 4 Jul 1967. Mrs. Bickel moved to Paris in 1979. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Don (Donna) Smith of Paris; four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Hadden, Massillon, Ohio, Mrs. Edith Martin of Louisville, Ohio, Mrs. Ada Moser of Orrville, Ohio and Mrs. Mildred Ridenour of Tuscon, Ariz.; two brothers, Wilson Levengood of Baltic, Ohio and Milo Levengood of Tucson, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Dawn Elise Smith, Dierdre Lynn Smith and Denise Marie Smith, all of Paris.' |
