Notes

THE PARIS NEWS, 21 Nov 1939: "Mrs. Kate Bevill of Paris, Rt.7, widow of W. A. Bevill, died at 3:10 o'clock Tuesday morning at her home on the Sumner Road [present CR 31700], north east of town. She was 69 years old and had been in ill health some time. Funeral service was announced for 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the residence, with burial by the side of her husband in the yard of their home. Brown-Roden Funeral Home has charge of arrangements and Ira Locke, Newt Pyles, Noah P. Smith, Jim Pollard, Tom Maynard and Tom Simpson were named pallbearers. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Maudie Barber and Mrs. Lillie Mae Hart, both of Paris, and two grandchildren."
