| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Wednesday, 23 Apr 1986: "Bestul funeral - Funeral services for Velara Carol Bestul of Blossom were conducted Tuesday at the Church of God in Blossom with the Rev. Larry Bridges officiating. Burial was in Union Grove Cemetery by Bright-Holland Funeral Home. Bearers were Danny Anderson, Ricky Bestul, David Lee Doyal, Johnny Newman, Jackie Davidson and Ricky Edwards. Mrs. Bestul died Saturday at McCuistion Regional Medical Center." LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, April 24, 1986: "Valoria Carol Bestul of Blossom died Sat., April 19, at McCuistion Hospital. Services Tues., April 22, at the Church of God in Blossom with Rev. Larry Bridges. Bright-Holland had charge. Born in Irwin, IA., daughter of Wilhelm & Mathilda Appel Jacobsen. Married Lewis William Bestul. He died Dec. 31, 1953. Surviving are 6 sons, Gale Lewis Bestul of Montclair, CA., Roger William Bestul of Paris, Larry Lee Bestul of Montclair, CA., Lawrence Eddy Bestul of Monte WA., Bruce Leroy Bestul of Blossom & Gregory Allen Bestul of Dallas; 2 daughers, Barbara Ruth Smith of Blossom & Sally Doyal of Blossom; 4 sisters, Marie Larsen of Irwin,IA., Mathilda Miller of Spalding, IA., Irene Schemi of Santa Monica, CA., & Virginia Dawson of Hollan, IA.; 3 brothers, John Jacobsen of Holland, IA., Dewey Jacobsen of Cedar Rapids, IA., & Raymond Jacobsen of Santa Monica, CA.; several grandchildren & 6 great grandchildren." |
