THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Nov. 2, 1995, p. 7A: "W. O. Berry Jr., 59, Rt. 9, Paris, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 1995, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Lawson and the Rev. Jack Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Berry was born Jan. 26, 1936, in Red River County, a son of W. O. Berry Sr. and Ona Turner Berry. He married Pat Anderson Nov. 4, 1955. He was a building contractor. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Darrell Berry and Ronnie Berry, both of Paris; one daughter, Connie Fields of Howland; five brothers, Sidney Berry of Paris, Ona Berry of Blossom, Randall Berry of Powderly, Argus Berry of Blossom and Kervin Berry of Rowlett; one sister, Francelia Smith of Paris; two grandchildren, Hunter Berry of Paris and Lance Fields of Howland. He was preceded in death by one son, Gaylon ‘Shorty’ Berry in 1985. Pallbearers will be David Berry, Bill Wilhite, Steve Jackson, Joe Bowie, Ray Crowell and Ricky Woodard."
