THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Mar. 6, 1997, p.12A: 'Hugo, OK - Essie Burris, 54, of Hugo died Saturday, March 1, 1997, at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center in Paris. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at South Central District Building. Rogan Funeral Home will make burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Surviving are four sons, Donald Brown of Tacoma WA, Roy Brown of Ardmore and Robert Brown and David Frazier Jr. of Hugo; four daughters, Joyce Harris of Oklahoma City, Gennetta Frazier of Paris, Daisy and Traci Frazier of Hugo; three brothers, Clarence Brown of Bakersfield, CA, Roy Paul Brown and Otis Brown of Hugo; and four sisters, Gearldean Goulsky of Bakersfield, Imogene Johnson of Oceanside, CA, Dessie Mae Goff of Los Angeles and Alberta Coleman of Hugo.'
