THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., May 20, 1994, p. 18A: "Mrs. Raymond (Maureen) Berry, 82, 610 Wilburn, died Thursday, May 19, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct services at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 22, in First Christian Church with Dr. Raymond Armstrong and the Rev. Ross Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Tabor Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Berry was born March 15, 1912, in the Maxey community, a daughter of Nathaniel L. and Rose Cloud Nelms. She was a former school teacher and was a member of First Christian Church where she was active in the ladies organization and the Loyal Builders Sunday School Class. She married Elmer D. Towers Dec. 22, 1934. He died Oct. 9, 1974. She married Raymond Berry in May, 1983. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Richard W. Towers of Paris and Norman D. Towers of Pine Bluff, AR; two stepchildren, Peggy Justiss of Bellville and Raymond E. Berry of Golden, CO; three brothers, Hearlson Nelms of Paris, Willie D. Nelms of Dallas and Carlos Victor Nelms of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Monte Moore, Timothy D. Towers, James Norman Towers, Richard Allen Towers, Russell Wayne Towers, Mark Berry, David Justiss and Jesse Justiss."
There is a headstone with inscribed with "Maureen Nelms Towers" shared with Elmer D. Towers.
