| Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Jul. 21, 1994, p.10A. 'Flora Benningfield, 81, of 2193 East Cherry, died Wednesday, July 20, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. E.R. Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30- 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will be at 1815 Cedar, the home of Odessa Baker. Mrs. Benningfield was born April 13, 1913, in Lamar County, a daughter of Jim and Linne Milligan Garrison. She married Sam Ezra Benningfield on April 2, 1928. He died Dec. 3, 1985. She was a member of the Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Readus Benningfield of Paris; three daughters, Odessa Baker of Paris, Mary Winters of Marrero, LA and Martha Ray of Blossom; one brother, Doug Garrison of Powderly; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Benningfield, James Owens, Jerry Garrison, Scott Wright, Steve Coker and Glen Todd.' Sam Benningfield's obituary shows 1929 as marriage year. |
