THE PARIS NEWS, Thu., Jul. 21, 1994, p.10A. 'Flora Benningfield, 81, of 2193 East Cherry, died Wednesday, July 20, 1994, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. E.R. Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30- 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. The family will be at 1815 Cedar, the home of Odessa Baker. Mrs. Benningfield was born April 13, 1913, in Lamar County, a daughter of Jim and Linne Milligan Garrison. She married Sam Ezra Benningfield on April 2, 1928. He died Dec. 3, 1985. She was a member of the Hillcrest Missionary Baptist Church. Surviving are a son, Readus Benningfield of Paris; three daughters, Odessa Baker of Paris, Mary Winters of Marrero, LA and Martha Ray of Blossom; one brother, Doug Garrison of Powderly; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be James Benningfield, James Owens, Jerry Garrison, Scott Wright, Steve Coker and Glen Todd.' Sam Benningfield's obituary shows 1929 as marriage year.
