| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, May 11, 1989, p. 4. 'Wanda Jane Bennett of Paris died Wednesday, May 3, at Baylor Medical Center. Services were held Saturday, May 6, in Bright-Holland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Deport, a daughter of Jim Rollins and Rena Williams Rollins. She married Clyde V. [Veldon] Bennett on Aug. 18, 1951, in Texarkana, Ark. She retired from Westington after 20 years of service and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; two sons, Rickey Bennett of Hawaii and Michael Lee Bennett of Paris; two daughters, Sharon Sue Anderson of Paris and Carla Lynn Fletcher of Desoto; three sisters, Joann Hurley of Paris, Bonnie Wright of Paris and Edna Gold of Carthage; one brother, Charles Rollins of Deport; her mother, Rena Graham of Carthage; and five grandchildren.' |
