| Notes THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 4 Feb 1988. 'Laura Bennett, 1361-10th NE, died Wednesday, 27 Jan 1988, at St. Joseph's Hospital. Services were held Saturday, 30 Jan, at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. S.F. Evans officiating. Maxey Funeral Home made burial in Fairland Cemetery. Mrs. Bennett was born in Paris on 14 Nov 1927, a daughter of Calvin and Frances Douglas Jones. She attended Lamar County schools and was employed by Cherry Street Manor Nursing Home. Surviving are her mother; two aunts, Gracie Lane and Della Douglas, both of Paris; and two uncles, Clyde Smith and Charlie Douglas, both of Paris.' In 1994 this was an unmarked grave. |
