Notes
Information from funeral home: Caroline Grinstead Bennett, 107 of Paris and formerly of Deport, died on October 27, 2014 in Heritage House of Paris. Funeral Services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm in Wood Funeral Homes of Deport with Reverend Michael Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. The family will gather at the funeral home from 1-2pm. She was born in Ft. Polk, Arkansas, October 22, 1907 to Jake Lionel and Alice Sanders Grinstead. She was the last of nine children, having predeceased: Madge, Edith, Isabel, Joe, Tobe, Nubbs, Pete and Sam. On November 9, 1935, she married Jennings Bryan Bennett. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1966. She was also preceded in death by a son, John Harry Bennett in 1984. She was a long time Nurse’s Aid for the Deport Nursing Home. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jackson of Paris; daughter in law, Jean Bennett of Mesquite; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to especially thank the Heritage House and Mays Hospice for their care.
