| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, December 15, 1983, p. 4. 'BOGATA-- Mrs. Catherine E. Benham, 79, of Bogata died Sunday, Dec. 11, at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services were held Tuesday, dec. 13, at the Bogata Church of Christ with Thomas Ridge officiating. Burial was in Bogata Cemetery under the direction of Bogata Funeral Home. Mrs. Benham was born Aug. 12, 1904, in Lamar County, the daughter of Thomas Edgar and Allie B. Rogers Russell. She married Russell Benham on Dec. 24, 1928, in Paris. She is survived by her husband of the home; two daughters, Mary Hanson of New Orleans and Barbara Tipton of Arlington; three sisters, Juanita Burns of Paris, Juliett Russell of Paris and Doris Scales of Dallas; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.' |
