THE PARIS NEWS, Sun., Sep. 3, 1995, p.16A. 'Ella A. Bender, 76, of Paris, died Saturday, Sep. 2, 1995, in St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home will conduct graveside services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sep. 5, in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Lorenzo Johns officiating. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bender was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Roxton, a daughter of Louis and Lena Moore Branum. She attended Lamar County schools including Roxton. She married Clinton Bender in Paris in 1943. He died in 1980. Survivors include two daughters, Naomi Hamburg of Collins, MO and Elizabeth Ressel of Vernon; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Camilla Green of Lancaster, Maurine Rakestraw of Indianapolis, IN and Louis Weiss of Llano; and three brothers, Hammonds Branum of Roxton, Roscoe Branum of Paris and Howard Branum of Dallas. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis Branum in 1994, and Jimmy Branum in 1979; and a sister, Coye Bramlett in June 1992.'
