Jan 31, 1978; Mrs. Clyde Bell, 85 of Mount Pleasant, formerly of Paris died Friday, Jan 27, 1978 in Mt. Pleasant. Funeral services were held Monday in the Leverett and Steele Memorial Chapel with the Rev. L.O. Evans officiating. Interment was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Susie Estelle Knowles Bell was born Jan. 6, 1893, in Collin County Texas, daughter of John F. Knowles and Martha Putman Knowles. She and Clyde Bell were married in 1913 in Paris. He preceded her in death in 1941. Survivors include two sons, Alvis C. Bell of Dallas and A.J. Bell of Shreveport, LA; one stepson, David Bell of Amarillo; one brother, Tom Knowles of Paris; and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Denton of Greenville and Mrs. C. H. Walker of Mt. Pleasant, seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
