| Notes LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, 5 Dec 1985. 'Rankin Bell of Garland, formerly of Paris, died Sunday, 1 Dec 1985, at his home. Services were held Tuesday, 3 Dec 1985, at Williams Funeral Home in Garland. Graveside services and burial were at Highland Cemetery in Deport. Mr. Bell was born 3 Aug 1910, in Deport, a son of Frank and Minnie Grant Bell. He married Ruth Wimberly in Deport. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Gwen Smith of Garland; three brothers, Stanley Bell, Russie Bell and Jack Bell, all of Deport; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren.'
