LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, Thu. Nov. 29, 1984:  "DEPORT- Mrs. Stanley (Lyda) Bell died in Red River Haven Nursing Home in Bogata Wed. Nov. 21, at 2:30 p.m. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thurs. Nov. 22, at the First United Methodist Church in Deport with Rev. Sam Rice officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery by Grant Funeral Home. Mrs. Bell was born Sept. 24, 1900, in Fairlie, a daughter of Robert and Hattie Hudson Wilson. In August 1919, [tombstone inscribed 16 Sep 1920] she married Stanley R. Bell in Deport. Surviving are her husband; a daughter and son in law, Charlie and Jo Nell Davidson of Deport; one granddaughter, Suzanne McElhanon. One daughter, Onita, died in 1980. Bearers were James Gibson, James Clyde Watson, T.V. Skaggs, Delbert Norman, Tom Webb and Forest Parks."
