THE PARIS NEWS, Monday, 19 May 1980, p. 2: "Mrs. Lucy Bell. DEPORT — Mrs. Lucy Bell of the Holliday Hills Nursing Home in Dallas, formerly of Paris, died Sunday in Charlton Methodist Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Grant Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gifford Long of Dallas and Rev. Virgie Temple of Paris officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Bell was born Feb. 5, 1888 in Clay County, a daughter of Joe and Sarah Haughton Temple. Her husband, Curt Bell, preceded her in death in 1957. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Kathrine McNeil of Dallas; four brothers, Max Temple and Ira Temple, both of Paris, Less Temple of Lubbock and Ed Temple of Seminole, Okla.; three grandchildren and five great- grandchildren."
