THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, January 15, 1954, p. 12: “CURTIS BELL. Curtis Bell, 67, died at home, 903 - 10th NE, after about two months illness. He had been employed as driver for an oil concern here. The funeral, Saturday at 2:30 p.m., will be held at J. M. Grant Funeral Home at Deport and burial will be made in Highland Cemetery there. The Rev. John Shuler and the Rev. Kirk M. Beard, Methodist pastors, will officiate and nephews will be pallbearers. Born at Cunningham, Jan. 1887, Mr. Bell was a son of the late Howard and Cassie (Kennedy) Bell. He had lived in Paris a number of years. Besides his wife, Lucy, he leaves two children, Mrs. Howard McNeal, Dallas, and Kenneth M. Bell, Odessa, and three grandchildren, and these brothers and sisters: Albert (Red) Bell, Los Angeles, Calif.; A. D. Bell and Mrs. Ina Robinson, Paris; Mrs. Dade Landrum, Cunningham; Mrs. Ellie Watson, Lake Creek, and Vert Bell, Roscoe.”
