THE PARIS NEWS, Tuesday, July 27, 1976, p.10. 'Deport- Corey Bell, 87, of Deport died at 11 a.m. Monday at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services were to be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Deport with the Rev. Fred Hunter, pastor, officiating. Burial was to be in Highland Cemetery in Deport under the direction of Grant Funeral Home. Mr. Bell was born Oct. 29, 1888 (sic), in Deport, son of Frank and Minnie (Grant) Bell. He married Mildred Strickland in 1912 in Deport. Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Hugh (Evelyn) Hammett of Longview; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, Stanley Bell, Russie Bell and Jack Bell, all of Deport, and Rankin Bell of Sherman; and one sister, Miss Norma Bell of Deport. Named as pallbearers were Dick Burden, Dugan Foster, Delbert Norman, Mack Webb, Duane Glover and Sammy Kelsey.'
